2002 Sonata Problems... and online manual?

Hey all,
Just got a 2002 Sonata yesterday and want to start fixing a few of the problems.
1. It did'nt come with a manual... so is there an on-line manual for it, or somewhere I can download one?

2. The door lock switch dosent work... it will unlock sometimes, but never lock. I searched and found that it may be the relays behind the fuse box so i'm going to get right on that to see if it is.

3. The drivers window switches: drivers window works totally fine, passenger/and both rear will go Down, but not back up. I have to go to each door and hit the UP switch to roll them up. What could be the cause of this? I've been looking at the fuse box but can't find anything blown.

Thanks all for the help!

also, aparently there are fog lights... but I dont see a button to turn them on... are they "day time running lights" or are they suppose to turn on with the headlights? Either way they are not comming on. I'm gussing the bulbs are shot?

Hi,

The frontfog light switch is a rotating sleeve on the indicator stalk inboard of the main light switch.

Your window problem could be relays or a broken wire/loose connection.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Thanks for the help Chris, I’ll have to go take a look at the fog light knob in a few minutes.

About the window problem, the other day I rolled the passenger down and tried rolling it back up, it DID go up, but very VERY slowly. Later on I tried it again… and it wouldn’t go up anymore just like the others.

How do I go about taking the door panel off to get to the switches to check the connections? And if the problem is the relays for each of the windows, where are they located?

Thanks again for the help!

Well the weather finally broke here so I can take a look at the stuff. Does anyone have a diagram on how to take the drivers panel apart without breaking it?

Thanks all!
