2004 Sonata malfunction lite
 

While driving yesterday i noticed a malfunctioning light came on and stayed on, got out manual and looked up what was going on. When i stopped off and cut off the engine and turned back on, it stayed on, later after stopping at the store and getting back in the car it did not come on, neither did it come on when I turned on the engine, now I am worried that something is wrong; it seems when you take it into the dealer they find more wrong then when you initially went in for. Any suggestions as to why this light came on and is now not coming on? HELP!!!

It means that the central computer had detected an error. To find out what the error is, take it to AutoZone for a free code scan. Write down the code or codes. Don't let them diagnose your problem and sell you parts. Report the codes on this thread for a diagnosis.
