Default 2006 Sonata Engine swaaped, lots of problems HELP!

I need everyone's help in fixing my neighbor's car. She had the a used engine put in and now it's fubar. all the problems are related to the transmission. I know these guys did not do a top notch job as I put in three of the bolts that hold the engine to the transmission! Anyway here's the list of problems:

1. The shift lever won't come out of park without hitting the lock release

2. Won't shift out of first, even in manual mode

3. I got codes P0707, P0717, and P0722

I know these are for the input and output pulse generators, and the transaxle range switch. I found on the forum instructions for adjusting the switch, but I have no Idea where it is or what it's supposed to look like.

Please help me!

I found the range switch and it looked to be adjusted properly. I cleaned up all the contacts and put it all back together with no luck. The switch didn't look exactly lke what I had found instructions for (2000 Elantra) so maybe someone can let me know if it's the same or give me the correct procedure. I found on rockauto.com they are calling the switch I was looking at a nuetral safety switch. Is this the same thing as the range switch?

Check to see if the brake lights are lighting up when you try to shift ( you must have your foot on the brake to shift) The '06 had a recall on the brake light switch located at the brake pedal. If it has malfunctioned, the car will not shift.

That was one of the first things I did. I got a new shifter position switch and a new output speed sensor. it's still shifting all screwy, but I figure it needs the new input speed sensor, which I'm still waiting for, to work right. I need to go get the codes read again.
