2008 sonata alarm issue
My dad bought his sonata about 8 monthes ago or so and ever since he bought it, the alarm randomly goes off for no reason. We got a letter from the complex we live in today because his alarm is going off so they were going to tow it. if you guys ahve heard anything of this we would appreciate the help. Any ways to by pass the alarm? Even when he just locks the door by pressing the button on the door it still ste the alarm once he shuts the door. we live in a decent area just dont want to have to leave the door unlocked because of this issue.
Thanks for the help Danny |

Sounds like he's the original owner. Take it to the dealer for warranty work, it should all be covered.

In the meantime, there's supposed to be a "valet" switch someplace. Refer to the owners manual.

How do you disarm an alarm system on a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. It's a 2.4 liter with automatic and I think it a after market alarm installed by the dealer who, by the way, is no longer in business. I think it is a GLS. Alarm keeps going off randomely while in the garage. I really don't need this alarm and I don't need to be awaken every night to get up and turn the alarm off. I can live without an alarm system on this car. Anyone know how to disconnect or cut off the alarm permanently without causing additional problems to the car? Any help would be grateful. Don't want to hear this alarm go off anymore, want it off for forever. Regards xl152000@yahoo.com
