2009 sonata

OK. My car is hanging out of the garage jacked up. I'm going to bed now. Does anyone have experience with removing and replacing the rear wheel bearing on this model. I have the new assembly and just removed the old assembly, but it came off with the entire backing plate which now I can't separate from the hub flange. You tube has nothing.....anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

the plate is held in place by the same 4 screws as the bearing carrier so 'naturally' it will come off. But you should be able to separate it from the bearing. Likely it's just rusted together.

Thanks e3tom. I had to buy a new backing plate as I basically destroyed the whole unit, which was rusted together. So it was backing plate flange and wheel bearing assembly boss that was rusted together.
