2011 hyundai sonata will not start
I have a 2011 hyundai sonata that just will not crank. The P like does not display on the dash to indicate that the car is in park. All fuses have been checked. I'm just baffled at what could be going on. Can anyone explain what may be the problem?

There is a park/neutral safety switch that keeps the starter from cranking the engine if it is not in park or neutral
This prevents the car from moving unintentionally The fact that it does not indicate the park position means that it isn't registering You can try neutral to see if that will work. Remember that it must register or indicate it is in neutral. You may have to reset the position of the switch or replace it Can't see it from here You need to do some testing |
Try this
If it is not asking for the key there is a switch under the brake pedal that might need to be replaced
