Sorry, 2011 Sonata SE with 2.0 Turbo

glenn716 09-01-2011 03:43 PM

Nice!!!... If i had known when I bought my 2.4L that they were gonna make a turbo I probably would have waited. Not buyers remorse but wish I had that powerful engine. :D

Yeah it's got a lot of power and speed. I've only got it up to 100mph so far and it was like nothing. I'm gonna order my HID kits next weekend I hope. Were the fog lights hard to install or do they go in like the low beam lights? I'm thinking about getting these fog lights instead of the HID kit, but I don't think they'll be bright enough.

I need to get it tinted too but money's tight right now, so that'll have to wait.

Hey do you thing the 10,000K HID kit will melt the plastic around the lights?

Put those pictures up!! I want to see what all the lights look like.

I just bought a 2012 sonata a couple weeks ago and I want to do a few things to it.

Have you tested the cup holders in the 2012 Sonata yet? Do they fit? Any warranty?

No, I think you'll be fine with 10K bulbs.
Getting to the fogs is not that hard. Right under the bumper where the fogs are you can access the bulbs there. You need to pull a couple of plastic pushpins and you should be able to fold back the plastic enough to do the hid-fog install. Finding a good place to put the ballast is up to you.

I have sold many kits to 2012 owners. No problem with fitment and wired up exactly the same.

Cool thanks!

Ok, I just installed my HID kit and the lights look awesome, but they don't look like they are pointing in the right direction. Any idea how to fix this?

BUMP :)

Hey guys, just wanted to bump this up in case you missed it. I am still making and selling these kits if anybody is interested. Thanks.
Glenn
