2011 Ltd 2.0T smart key engine shut off?
Anyone know if it's possible to get the engine to automatically shut off when the smart key is out of range?
I know it's only a matter of time until I get out of the car and leave the engine running.
Thanks.

I asked my service center the same thing and I was told NO. When I first got my 2011 SE (first push button start car), I left my car running in the parking lot of a Target store for at least 30 mins. I was sooo relieved that nobody took it.
So I was told that if you leave the car running and you are not near it, it can just be driven away but whenever it's cut off, it wouldn't start again (obviously) without the key remote.
I'm extra cautious now about making sure the car is off...get use to listening out for that long high pitched tone if you walk away from the car. when you hear it, you'll know you didn't shut the car off
