2011 Sonata oil change

This past weekend I purchased my first Hyundai, a 2011 pre-owned Sonata with 16800 miles. The dealer listed it as a Limited but my research is showing it's actually a SE.

My question is, will the Sonata tell me when it's time for an oil-change? Possibly on the digital screen in the gauge cluster? My dad's Silverado does this so I am wondering if the Sonata does as well. I do not know when the oil was last changed in it.

Thanks!

No, the computer does not tell you when to change oil. You have to remember what mileage it needs to be done at.

This is simply to deal with, change the oil now and track the mileage from this point on. Recommended service interval for oil is 3,750 miles, and since the 5 year/60K warranty is still in place I would follow that recommendation. The transmission will need a flush at 30K.

No, there is no oil life monitor. Like Ken suggested, change the oil not and track from here on out.
