2011 Sonata Window tint
 

Just bought an 11 Sonata SE. So far love the car. No steering or transmission problems. Does anyone know if the windows have a slight tint to them? My wife says yes, I think no. If I tint the rear window will it effect the radio antennea that is in/on the glass or the defrosting system? Thanks.

Yes, there is a very slight tint (usually about 95-97 tint). No, it won't affect the radio or the rear defroster. Actually, in many cases, it helps the rear defroster.

Go for a non-metalic coated tint, as the metalic tints can hamper cell phone signal, gps, radio reception, and even the tire pressure monitors in cars. Check you local tint law, local tint shops should already know them, or you'll fail yearly inspection (if you have them).

Thanks for the info austex04! I'm getting the tint on Friday and as it turns out, I was scheduled to get the metalic tint. With your input I will now be paying a little more, but avoiding big problems with my GPS and more. Thanks again!
