Wondering if anybody has adjusted their headlights on a 2016 Sonata plug-in hybrid with HID lamps. I took it into the dealer and they said they are aimed to spec. Well they aren't getting the constant high beam flashes from other cars at night. I think I've seen a few fingers also. I looked on the outside of the housing but didn't see anything likely. I haven't unscrewed the plug where you install the lamps yet to see if there are adjustment screws inside there yet. I will wait a while and see if anybody answers here first. This car has HID headlights, I wonder if they used regular aiming specs instead of HID. I've communicated with Hyundai twice so far, but haven't had any feedback. Regards, Tom

I have a 2016 sonata hybrid ltd. Same prob with hids began about a few months ago. Did you adjust?

 

Hi, not sure if your are the same headlights, but this is how to adjust them in the Limited edition (I believe the Limited has LED headlights)

 

Thanks! I already adjusted mine. Above the toothed wheel that was turned by hand in the video is a funnel. Sticking a Philips screwdriver down that funnel will mesh its tip with the wheel's teeth. Turning the screwdriver turns the wheel like a gear! No mess. When the wheel turns clockwise, the beam lowers.
