99 hyundai sonata ecu
 

i have a flood damaged 1999 hyundai sonata......ecu 39109-37000....i picked up another ecu part number 39109-37010.....when i try to start the vehicle with the replacement ecu it will only start when i use starter fluid....it is firing, the fuel pump is comming on and flowing through the fuel rail,but im not sure if the injectors or openning....will having different part numbers affect the injectors opening????????(runs smooth untill the starter fluid runs out....)
p.s. fuel tank purged and dried ..... fresh gas

The problem is that the car is flood damaged, and you might have a problem anyplace there is a connector. How long did the car sit around since the flood? Did you try to get any trouble codes from a trouble code scan?

no trouble codes yet....different computer and the car has not run long enough to get any codes yet....just trying to see if injector control is completely controled by the computer or are there any outside relays at work here that control them.....maybe a crank sensor that controls them....

It's all computer controlled. There's a BCM and a TCM to worry about too. Ignition and fuel injection is all computer controlled. Hope you had insurance.
