battery dead on a 2011 sonata

Hi All,
I had a sensor error which caused my battery to drain.
The computer thinks my door is unlocked when it is locked, leaving the door open image on the dashboard. This caused my battery to drain totally. Anyone know what the damage would be for a new battery and fixing the door sensor ?

Thanks in advance.

If your the original owner of the vehicle, the battery drain problem is covered under warranty. The battery would be prorated and still be expensive .If your not the original owner your warranty is 5yr, or 60000 miles, unless you you purchases an extended warranty. You would save money by buying a aftermarket battery. The door ajar light is probably due to a defective door pin switch. The pin switch provides a ground signal to body control module. Easy to check. Remove pin switch from door jam and simply unplug it. If light on cluster goes out, that the problem. Part is cheap. With problem present the body control module will not go to sleep witch causes a battery drain issue
