Default cigarette lighter not hot when ignition key removed

I have a 2009 Sonata V6 ltd. The cigarette lighter turns off when the caar is turned off. Can I configure car to leave it on so I can charge my cell phone or PDA?

If not is there a replacement relay that jumps the switch?

thanks

That's what Asian cars do, and I think European cars too. You could run a new wire from the fuse box.

When you say run a wire, is there a connector to hook up to that remains hot.

No, I'm saying you have to have a little intuition about it, and tap into an appropriate wire with an appropriate fuse. It's an easy job, but can be dangerous with someone who doesn't know what they are doing.
