Driver Airbag

Driver Airbag
We have a 2007 Sonata with 100,000 miles on it. The drivers Airbag light goes out when I hook up the seat belt and then comes on almost immediately. It stays on until I start all over again. I have no confidence with our local dealer service department from previous incidents. They cannot even give me rough idea of the solution or the cost. Not even a ball park figure. Can anyone here shed some light on this problem.
Thanks
Thanks

There is a recall for that, it may or may not be the issue for you.
I noticed that underneath the front seats the wires can get caught and pinched in the slider track. If that's the case, you should be able to unbolt the front bolts of the seat, push it up and clear the jam. Sometimes even straightening the wire fixes it.
My wife is very petite, and she adjusts the seats everytime she gets in my car. So for me that was the case. I'd start with that.
Good luck.
