electrical shock everytime I'm going out from my car
I just bought this sonata '06 from hyundai carpros at aurora seattle, wa.
After few days every time I'm going out from my car and touching anything metal, I always get an electric shock like a zap. I don't know what happened. After that I went to carpros again and ask them. But they said it's just an static electric shock because of the weather is too dry. But until now I'm still exeperiencing it, even though the weather is rainy. Is it a common thing? Because I never had any experience like that on my other cars. |
RE: electrical shock everytime I'm going out from my car
You can buy a ground strap (a little metal strap) and install it on the bottom of your car so it drags on the ground. The problem is that your car is building up static charge by rolling (just like rubbing a balloon on your hair). Then when you get out- ZAP! The ground strap prevents the charge from building up because it touches the ground and the static charge bleeds off.
