engine stalling miss fireing???

hi
I've. got a 2000 sonatawith a 2.480000 miles
the engine idles smooth but when you step on gas its like a dead spot if you floor it
it will hesitate then go and when driving it will sound like motor died but step on it and it goes
on the old chevys it acts like the accelerater pump is bad?
I've replaced the crank sensor, fuel filter an pump
I was told the problem may be the tps witch I have ordered can there be something else causing it to
act like there is no fuel ?
thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

It might pay you to take your motor to your local agent, (provided your engine check light is on) and get them to plug it on to their scanpro to tell you the exact problem, otherwise you could be messing about for hours trying to find the fault and spend a fortune buying parts.

I don't know about where you are, but in UK most dealers will do this without charge, provided you buy any spares from them.

Best of luck

Chris
