Gearbox Oil Change Question ??

Hi, I have a 98 Sonata (Manual)

Want to drain and refill the gearbox.

Can someone kindly explain just where the drain and refill plugs are?

I have looked under the car and all I can see is a large (24mm) bolt or plug right at the back - is this the drain?
It's damn hard to get to and won't take a socket as its too close to the frame.

Is the fill plug the one on the small steel plate right at the front.

Looking at it I can't see how it can hold 2.5 litres if these the correct plugs.

Any help much appreciated.

(Don't have a service manual - just a CD - not much help)

Sonny

RE: Gearbox Oil Change Question ??

If reverse is "completely gone", adding oil will not fix your problem. Take it to a transmission mechanic.

Also, if you have an Accent, why did you post this question in a Sonata forum? Plus, there is no need to post the same question 4 times in 4 different forums.
