HELP!-2008 Sonata rear crunch noise-HELP!
Hello,
I have a 2008 Sonata LE V6 with 114K miles in VERY GOOD condition. I get a noise that will happen while driving almost every time we go out and lasts for various amounts of time. It is a loud crunch/squeek from the rear (loud enough to be heard over the radio). It is loud enough to be annoying while riding to the point replacing the car may be the best option. It has been happening for 6 months. I have replaced the struts/shocks all around and the top mount for the rear shocks. The crossover recall has been done. I have taken it to two Hyundai dealers and they cannot find the issue. It has been taken to specialty chassis/suspension shops and they also cannot figure it out. I have taken it to various local repair shops with no help. Every place has been able to hear the noise and says it is the upper or lower control arms. But each has put it on a lift or crawled under it and determined EVERYTHING to be OK. This is our second Sonata and we like the car but cant stand riding in it when this happens. HELP.
