Help with power steering line
I've found a pinhole in my power steering fluid return line between the gears and the reservoir. Thanks to NovaResource for pointing out the hmaservice site, I was able to locate an image of it. I am wondering how to remove this hose; it's fairly simple, except that both hoses are on the mount on top of the rack body and run through rubber insulators, which the hose isn't going to fit through when I try to remove it. How can I get only the return line out of this? It's hard to see, so I don't know if they are able to be separated.

If I have to guess, I would say you probably have to remove the whole steering rack. It was probably installed with the lines already connected.

I won't have to remove the whole rack, the lines unbolt from the gear box and there are a variety of connections which are removable along the way.
Any other ideas about the rubber insulators in the diagram? |
I think I've figured it out; the rubber insulators look like they slide out of the metal mount they're on.
