Help programing a keyless remote 2002 sonata
 
hey i have a 2002 sonata and i just bought a new keyless remote. i found a site that told me how to program but i cannot find the module that they are talking about. here is the address, maybe someone can help me figure this out... thanks

Keyless entry was an OPTION on the 2002 Sonata. Sorry, but your car may not have that option installed. If it does, the remote has to be programed by a Hyundai dealership using a scantool. Goto http://www.hmaservice.com and look up TSB #03-90-020 for an explanation. I would provide a link, but this is an older TSB in html that the site doesn't let you easily link to. If the car does not have the keyless entry option, then you have wasted your money buying a remote.

i just lost my remote. it broke off my keychain so i bought a new one. so it does have the optioon. but so what your saying is ill have to got to the dealer... no biggie
