Default Hesitation at 40 mph

Irecently bought a 2001 sonata (4cyl) it runs great! 60,000 miles on it andI replaced the timing belt, plugs and wires just after I got it. But if I get stuck driving consistantly at apx 40 mph the engine starts to hesitate, car jumps, it stops hesitating ifI go much faster or if it drops into passing gear. It did this prior to my replacement of the listed parts. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Well I'm glad I didn't respond, since that's not what I thought it might be.

I try to to help when I have a pretty good idea, but I wasn't sure enough to offer any advice on your issue. Thanks for responding, though; maybe it will help the next hesitating Sonata owner.
