very simple fix, the advisors will have to take a look at the latch area in the door. there is a code on it not all vehicles are effected. the first 3 digits of the code on the latch will tell the technician if yours is affected. good luck with your car. i just lease a 2011 limited myself (not affected) and i mist tell you the car is a dream. i sell hyundais for 2 years now, and i tell ya they have come a long way over the years.

the service advisors would not be able to tell you, unless they are smarter than ours, and in that case, they would still have to see the car.

we have to read the date stamping that is acually on the latch itself. you can see it without pulling anything apart, but you may need a flash light.

i will try to post up all currently affected build dates tomorrow. if we are as slow as we were today, i should have some time. the build date is 6-7 letters and numbers, mostly starting with the letter "E".

in the mean time, dont lean on your doors while driving, and stay buckled up!
