Installing a Sony CDGTX270MP - Wiring
Hi, I'm installing a Sony CDX270MP stereo to a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. I have most of the wiring done so far, but I'm scratching my head for the blue/white-striped wire on the supplied harness.
Radio Constant 12v+ Wire: Gray (Connects to: YELLOW) (Power direct to battery/memory) Radio Switched 12v+ Wire: Orange/Black (Connects to: RED) (Power from ignition) Radio Ground Wire: Black (Connects to: BLACK) Radio Illumination Wire: Blue Stereo Dimmer Wire: White/Black Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Green/Black (Connects to: BLUE STRIPED) Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: Pink/Black Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Green (Connects to: WHITE) Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue (Connects to: WHITE STRIPED) Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Gray (Connects to: GRAY) Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Red/Orange (Connects to: GRAY STRIPED) Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Orange (Connects to: GREEN) Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Pink (Connects to: GREEN STRIPED) Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): White (Connects to: PURPLE) Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Red (Connects to: PURPLE STRIPED) You can see that I have four possible wires left: illumination, dimmer, antenna, and amp. I assume the blue/white striped wire connects to the antenna, but I don't want to continue on an assumption. My manual states that this wire connects to "the power antenna (aerial) control lead or power supply lead of antenna (aerial) booster". I see a note that says if the car has a built-in FM/AM antenna in the rear/side glass, I am to connect the REM OUT lead (b/w striped) to the power terminal of the existing antenna booster. I am so lost. Help? |
