Default Key fobs

Has anyone had an issue with both of their key fobs not working every 6 to 8 hours or so? Basically I can't disenguage the alarm on the car because the key will stop working so the car wont start because the alarm is still engauged. I took the car back to the dealer and of course they couldnt get it to do what I was describing so nothing was fixed.

What year is your Sonata? I've never heard of that issue. I have a 2006 Sonata and I've never had a problem with the key fobs. In fact I haven't even had to replace the batteries in them.

I think you will have to try to find a pattern in the problem to be able to replicate it for the dealer. If it has to sit for a few hours before it will happen you will probably have to leave it with them for a day or overnight.

When it happens can't you unlock the car with the key to disarm the security and start the engine?

Default Booo

Its a 2011 SE. This morning the car did it again. So i had to have the dealer tow it to their dealership. For 4 straight hours it would not work but by the time the technicians looked at the car it was working fine. They said they have hooked up the car to monitors and called Hyundai for support but can't find a fix. So I told them to keep the car because eventually it would show the problem. Now the only question is will they be able to fix it when it happens. If not do I get a brand new Hyundai???

It has the push button start and when you use the key inside the fob it doesnt do anything but unlock the car. There is no key ignition.

Are you putting the electronic key (fob) in the docking station?
