Need an extra alarm remote for an '06 Sonata

Does anyone have any advice or experience other than from the dealer? Is it hard to program to the car? thanks

To program the remote, you "WILL" need to see the dealer,,, they will install GDS and do the programing.. be sure to provide both remotes if availabe, as both need to be entered at same time when in the learn mode.

If you don't want to go to the dealer then you need to buy a $2000+ computer scanner from Hyundai to do it yourself, or go to someone that already owns the Hyundai comuter scanner. Also, you can only program a max of 2 remotes.

Hyundai Global Diagnostic System...

Computer with GDS program installed, plug into DLC with VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface), then go about the business needed for what you is doing,, pulling codes from modules, clearing codes, reprograming SRS, PCM, TCM, BCM, ABS/ESC, monitor data where ever, actuation test,, all kinds of fun stuff I can do.

I gots the discs sitting here to load the Software on the home computer, I'll copy it and install on my own laptop if I ever get 1..

We have laptop froom Hyundai as SST (Panasonic Toughbook),, a PC in my stall that will cover 3 stalls with the cord, and laptop floating arounf the shop... have it installed on another PC, but manager too stingy for getting a simple USB extension cord to cover the couple stalls there..

oh nooo! thats not an option.

I do suppose that this connects up through the ODBII connector right? What do independent (non-Hyundai) garages do? They can't do certain things on a Hyundai?
