Default New key fob, old car?

I have a 2002 sonata with highly worn out key fobs. I was wondering if it would be possible to program one of the newer switchblade style key fobs to the older car. I know I would have to cut my key to get it to fit, but would the remote functions be compatible with the older car?

The flip key you are talking about does not have to be programmed because it doesn't come with any electronics. It's just a shell. You open your original fob, remove the circuit board and install it in the flip key. Then you get the key cut to match your car and you are done.

I was thinking of using a key from another car. I found the kit and that seems like the best option. Thank you
