Possible SCC issue?

I have experienced a potentially dangerous design flaw with the SCC (Smart Cruise Control). Car is a 2016 Sonata Limited with 24000 kms. Car was driving on SCC at 60 kmh (SCC set at 60 kmh as well) with no car in front or side lines. The sun was low and in front of the car (7 PM on 12 of July). The road was dry, no road work. The car drove fine on SCC until it passed under a larger bridge. The shadow under the bridge was quite dark. Once in the shadow of the bridge the SCC did hard brake all of a sudden and displayed a warning message. I believe the SCC reacted to the sudden shadow from the bridge. Fortunately no car was following us closely, but the car came almost to a complete stop in the middle of the road.

Other that that the SCC has been impressive to us. We drove even in stop and go traffic with it (with care and with the foot ready for braking), the car comes to a full stop and moves again by itself unless it's stopped for longer 5 or 10 seconds, then we have to just push the little cruise knob to have the car moving again. All this however with plenty of care as I feel this system is yet to be perfected. For example, the system will not work when changing lines at slow speed.

Have you brought this to your local dealer's attention ?
If so , did you get any kind of reply?
If you did not report this , definitely a good move to let Hyundai know about it.
Please keep us informed on how this progresses, thank you !

I would report to safercar.gov: https://www.safercar.gov/

Thanks for the suggestions. I did wrote a comment but it seems the forum didn't post it, I put a Youtube link to it, maybe that's why?

Anyhow, I did wrote to Hyundai Canada and described the situation, I will now go on the Safecar link provided and post there as well. Thanks!
