PZEV Rating Lowers Horsepower
 

Hi Folks;

So my 2.4L 2010 Sonata Limited has the PZEV rating and Hyundai says the motor makes 168 HP(?) vs. the 175 HP of the regular tune engines. That's a "whopping" 4%.:)

Does anybody know specifically what is different between Sonatas having PZEV and those without it?

Is there any documented fuel economy hit for the PZEV engine? (I know the US Government doesn't think so)
