question to hyundai tech

i have 06 sonata lx....
have question about seat belt beeping noise...

when the engine is on, even though car is in a park position, if i don't put a seat belt on, it makes loud beeping noise..
is this how they made or can this be fixed??

RE: question to hyundai tech

youd have to jump the connection that monitors whether or not the seatbelt is connected.

RE: question to hyundai tech

i looked it up on webtech and you would actually have to clip one of the connector wires for the seat belt reminder to turn off, but i dont know if that would affect anything else...so i guess we are stuck with the seat belt chime....
