Recall questions
So my engine died out at a busy intervention and would not turn over. 2 days later can't figure it out ,yes should of just tried to turn crankshaft first. Took to my mechNic and he told me it's frozen and I should take it to dealer had it towed there and they told me it would cost me $300 + for them to look at it supposedly would be a teardown to verify calls me the next day and says he contacted Hyundai they said no way. ok I've only had the car for 3 months little bit of ring noise. I thought no problem have had cars last a good while like that.It ran xlnt other than ac thing a ma jig ticking under dash I could live w/ it 10 seconds every time it started. I called Hyundai found out about the recalls and I think I missed it and the dealer said the knock sensor was never replaced well my bad should of checked out this car more carefully. Now I'm trying to get a used car but the trade in value is like 500-1000 dollars depending on what I spend well **** show a little love for the people who had faith in your brand l was wondering if anyone has anything good to say about the new aftermarket engines they sell on eBay or what year of engine to put in or if I can put a newer turbo model without many more wiring don't know if ECU has to be changed or just re programed
Also I'm picking it up tomorrow, giving them the $300+ for rotating the crank and checking the oil by the way I told them it was frozen when I took it there don't really know what the 300 is for cause when he told me the next day I was just so fkn post.he wouldn't answer my calls for a few days but I understand it now that's just his job
