RPM going up, but car losses speed, transmission oil low. Whats up?

Dear friends, I need help!
while driving, when i accelarate my sonata 6 cylinder 2000 ( currently 45000 miles on it) shows an increase in RPM, but the car doesnt pick up in speed. This happens espacially when i start the car,( although it happens when i drive too). The RPM's run up all the way to 3000-3500, but the car goes to 20 miles/hr speed and slowly starts picking up. This issue just started three weeks ago and the car ran perfectly before. I checked the transmission oil and liuid and it was low so i replenished it,also i serviced my car when it was at 33, 000 miles for those things. My next service date is schedualed for 60,000 miles. Went to the Hundai dealer and they checked, added some transmision oil, but the car is STILL not the same. There is no leak so what might be the problem? CAN ANyone please help?

What did you add to the transmission? Do you know that ONLY SP-III automatic transmission fluid can be used? Most auto parts stores do not sell the stuff and will just give you whatever they have, and if it's not SP-III it can ruin your transmission.

thanx for the reply! ill keep that in mind next time im changing transmission. I didnt change it myself; local hundai dealer did it, so im guessing he used the right kind. They dont let you in to see the work being done so I cant tell you what they used. But next time I'm there ill let them know thats what they need to use. Today my car is geting serviced and checked over...hopefully they will find the problem and fix it. Thanx again.
