Default santa fe wheels

does anybody know if the 18" wheels for a 2010 santa fe fit on a 2006 sonata? i know the bolt pattern is the same and that i would need low profile tires but my main concern is the offset since ill be lowering the car. i have a friend that has 18'' genesis coupe wheels on his sonata and without lowering the car when taking a hard corner or with a full car the rear tires rub. but those wheels are meant for a rear wheel drive car and the rear ones are wider. any comments or experiences. thanks

I don't have any personal experience with your situation but I have seen a Sonata with the 18" Veracruz wheels on it. I don't recall if it was lowered or not. I'm inclined to think that the Santa Fe wheels are not much different in offset than the Sonata wheels.

Don't know what wheels you have right now. Here's something for you though. I have an 07 Sonata Limited with the 5 spoke 17" alloy wheels. I got a set of Azera 17 alloys for my winter tires (using the same tire specs as summer ones). The Azera wheels are a perfect fit.

Going to an 18" may have the same bolt pattern but they are not designed for your Sonata. This would be a good question to put to a dealer or a tire shop. Curious to know what you find out. Personally, I like the look of the 17s, I think the 18's would probably look good too, but like you said, they need to be functional.

well i ended up getting 19" genesis coupe wheels for a steal. i lowered the car on h&r and these wheels fit perfectly. the only thing is that you have to use 235 35 19 tires for the front and rear other than that they look great. thanks for your comments
