Smart key no start

New owner of 2011 Limited sonato turbo. Scanning the owners manual, on pg. 5-10, " If the battery is weak or the smart key does not work correctly, you can start the engine by inserting the smart key into the smart key holder?????? A picture above paragraph shows a arrow point to ?????
My question is, if engine doesn't start with push button via smart key, is there another way to start the engine?
Love the car, just trying to get my head around all these options should
there be a problem at some time.

Refer to page 5 - 10 of your owner manual ---

Open the center console....

On the forward panel on down a bit, there is a "dock" for the PIC to lock into.

Just insert the PIC and it clicks in... push in and release, it comes out.

If the battery is weak or the smart key
does not work correctly, you can start
the engine by inserting the smart key
into the smart key holder. To eject the
smart key from the smart key holder,
press the smart key inward past the
detent and then pull the key outward.

Will check that out when I get home from work. Does your reference to PIC mean the
smart key?
Thanks for info,
Ken
