Sonata Ef Speedometer Driven Gear Replacement
 

Hello everybody!

I have some problems with my year 2000 Sonata 2.5 European model with 5 - spd manual transmission.
Sometimes speedo jumps like crazy, and engine surges. I drove the car to authorized hyundai service, we plug in the tester and drowe about 25 miles.
Everything was flawless! So we assume that speedo driven gear is worn, and when ECU get wrong information (engine start to surge sometimes on highway)
I should mention that I have new ignition and fuel system!!

So I need to change SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN GEAR - MTA (manual transmission).

I looked some schemes on hma service, but there is no detailed information how to remove or replace speedometer driven gear.

Please help me, I allready ordered od six new parts (complete speedometer driven gear) for replacement.

I only need the instructions how to replace this driven gear, and can I replace it, when the gearbox is installed on the car??
