Trying to buy a new timing set. Help please!
 

Hello everyone. My 2012 sonata gls started rattling. Got a p0014 code. Checked both intake and exhaust ocv's. A little dirty but not as bad as I've seen others online. Popped off the valve cover and the timing chain was loose as hell! Looks like it jumped 6 teeth too. Tore it apart and removed the chain. Don't see any damage under the timing cover. I'm looking to buy a basic timing set with just a chain, tensioner and guides. The oil pump drive chain is nice and tight and still on correct timing so I think I'll leave that alone. Anyways, I'm struggling to find a chain for sale that matches what mine looks like. Not sure if the listings I see are just generic pics or not but here's what mine looks like.

Based on no info on what motor type this is, it lookslike the 2000cc and 2400cc use the same timing chain, Depending on exact vins and production dates

Yep 2.4. Sorry about that but that's the chain I'm looking for. Seems like every listing on Amazon or eBay that says it fits my car shows 180 link chains which is obviously not correct. Thank you for your help!

I got no idea, it may be genuine only, I went looking for that beck arnley item and found nothing

If there is any way for you to do this,
from experience we try to stick with OEM parts that a dealership will pull up based on your VIN.
99 % of the time you will get the correct parts.
There are so many times on line parts purchases wind up with the wrong parts for whatever reason and the trouble can usually be avoided by paying a few dollars more and getting the right parts from the dealership. Many on line parts sales places sell parts for all kinds of vehicles and have no idea what is what only numbers, whereas the dealership handles these parts just about every day and usually knows which are the correct parts..
If you get the wrong parts, so you now have to return them and and now what?
If you have the time and don't mind the trouble then cheaper price may be worth it
Shops don't have the time to tie up a vehicle waiting for parts unless they are unavailable.. There is a choice !
