Type and weight of oil

I've got a 2005 Sonota automatic trans V6. I drive about 70 miles round trip for work all highway miles. What is the recommended oil that should be used in this car? I was told by the dealers service center to use Valvoline 10w30. I did look in the manual and it appears to be the correct weight. Should I use a different oil for the amount and type of driving I do? I am using a Purolater Pureone as the filter. Good/bad?

I am changing the oil pretty close to 3000 miles and also wonder if that can be stretched longer say 5000.

Thanks....

RE: Type and weight of oil

Any goog quality 10w30 oil to the relative API spec is suitable and if most of your driving is done on the highway you should be able to stretch the oil change to about 5000 miles without a problem.

RE: Type and weight of oil

I bought a 07 sonata manual 2.4l I4
Quaker state is recommended on the manual
It's kind of strange that they recommend vavoline

I guess it really doesn't matter as long as you have right type of oil

I'm using mobil1 synthetic by the way
