Wind-noise Driver Side Door

2006 Sonata GLS
140k miles

Wind-noise has developed from the top left corner of the driver side door. I hadn't noticed it prior to a month ago. The door closes without issue and isn't loose. Both the frame seal and door seal seem pliable.

Thoughts. Suggestions?

Sometimes the hinge pin/bushings will wear and allow the door to sag a little. This sometimes moves the door frame down away from the weatherstrip and the good seal is absent. One quick test to confirm if the seal is not right is to place a dollar bill in the area of the wind noise between the weatherstrip and door and close the door. If you can pull the dollar bill out the seal is defective and door hinge or striker pin adjustment might correct it or just replace the worn parts

The seat-belt buckle is often slammed in the door jamb with this car. As I noodle through this problem, that thought occurred to me as a possible reason: meaning, perhaps the door is now bent slightly.

Excellent suggestion. I'll give the paper test a try. Thanks.

Yes this can happen because the doors today are not quite as rigid as the older doors. What you can try, and this is done pretty often, believe it or not, is to grab the top corner of the door and push it away from you while holding the lower or bottom part and pull on that part at the same time Go slowly with this as you might be surprised at how much you can alter the shape with just a little effort. Each time you bend it a little recheck it with the dollar bill trick. Be careful doing this because sometimes more is not always better. Just enough to hold onto that dollar . lol.
