01 Tiburon P0734 OEM Code
 

Any help with further diagnosis? The car shifts fine with overdrive offuntil it reaches third gear where it would normally shift into overdrive. Just revs. Shifting is sometimes rough since this started two days ago. AutoZone lists probable causes as 1. Open or short circuit condition, 2. Pressure Solenoid faulty, 3. Internal transmission failure. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the problem is usually #3: Internal. Sorry but it looks like you need a new/rebuilt trans.

Just got back from the local transmission shop and it appears you may be right. The lot I bought it from is sending a tow truck tomorrow to pick up to look at it. I hope they repair it as I just bought it 6 weeks ago. I love the car, hate to have to give it up!
