2001 Tiburon Power steering Removal
 

I wnt to remove my power steering in my 2001 tiburon as i prefer the control and hug on the road. can someone tell me if theres more involved to taking out the pump and lines or not?

It's not that simple. Non-power steering systems have different gearing inside so it can be operated without power assist. Simply removing the pump on a power-steering system will make the car almost undriveable. Don't try it.

I understand its not that simple. im trying to find a new gearbox that will support no power steering but i cant seem to find anything. Im taking it all out right to the box already as im doing an engine swap so its already out. Im just trying to find the new gearbox for the steering. anyone find anything or would recommend a car with no power steering that could be compatible to 2001 tiburon?

Im trying to empty my engine bay of every useless thing and get all the power i can. swapping my motor with one ive done some work too, bored out, pistons the works. now i dont want to put the extra power in and not be able to drive in a straight line with how my power steering works with the torque im pushing.

Removing the power steering isn't going to solve your torque steer problem. It has nothing to do with it.

im just looking to find a non power steering gear box for my tib... i dont want it so im taking it out

There is no non-power steering box. Power steering was standard equipment.
