2003 Tib front rotor removal
Can someone tell me how the front rotors can be removed? It looks as if they will just slide off, but they don't. Do I have to remove the spindle nut and remove the rotor and hub as an assembly? Are the rotors "pressed" onto the hub and can come off with a gear puller?? HELP?? Thanks!

RE: 2003 Tib front rotor removal
There are 2 set screws that need to be removed but other than that there is nothing holding the rotors on. No, you do not need to remove the large nut holding the axle to the hub.
Hyundai rotors are known to rust into place. As long as the set screws and the calipers/bracket are removed the only thing holding the rotor on is rust. You will have to hammer it off. And trust me, you may have to hammer it HARD to get it off. I went through that about a year ago. https://www.hyundaiforum.com/m_8728/tm.htm https://www.hyundaiforum.com/m_9287/tm.htm |
