2004 Tiburon GT premature clutch failure

I have a 2044 Tiburon GT Limited

I have had 2 clutches go bad and have only had it for 15000 miles (40000 total miles on the car).

1st time. I had a Fidanza flywheel and aftermarket stage 1 clutch & pressure plate installed (I dont recall the manufacturer). It lasted 6000 miles.

Now is the 2nd time. Fidanza flywheel and Stage 3 OFE Series clutch & presure plate from South Bend Clutch (south Bend, IN). Slave cylinder mod done. Clutch gets instaled 12/13 /06

I have seen on other forums where they are doing a mod on the Clutch slave cylinder. By taking off where the fluid goes in to the slave cylinder and removing the fluid restrictor valve & spring. Which makes sense. If the fluid is being slowed down then the clutch is engaged or disengaged it would cause slippage resulting in premature ware and eventuly clutch failure.

I have Just found out about the slave cylinder resticture valve mod.

Has any body had a premature clutch failure after doing the slave cylinder restrictor valve mod?

Just for the record. I drive & own a tractor trailer and have over 750000 miles on the original clutch. So, I do know how to use a manual transmision.
