2008 model?
 

Hi, I just recently got a new 2008 Tiburon 2.0L model. Sweet ride!! I am a big performance junkie. I had an 05 dakota before this(Traded because of the gas milage) and had an exhaust system and CAI in it. I wanted to do the same with the car. However, my problem is I can't find anything for this model or the 07's either. My question is this:
Is the 2008 model the same setup as say an 06? Could I just get an 06 borla exuast and slap it in? or is the frame too diffrent from that model?

No and no.

The intake for 2007-08 Tibs is different from 2003-06 Tibs because the headlights are different. However, there are CAI intakes for the 2007-08 Tibs available from Injen.

The exhause for the 2007-08 Tib is also different because of the different cutout in the rear. I don't know if there are any available for the 2007-08 but I assume there are by now. However, I suppose you could modify a 2003-06 exhaust by changing the exhaust tips.

AEM & Borla
 

I just installed an AEM CAI. Perfect fit. Hyundai modified the area were the intake enters the fender. Previouse models required some trimming. Hyundai made it a round flanged hole.
I also just left my V6 Tib with Borla yesterday. They are using my car to complete a production line for the 07-08. They told me they just finished working on the IL4. a month ago. Not sure how long it will take to get into production.

I just got an 08 SE V6 and it is a sweet ride. I traded off my 08 Accent and do not miss the little car at all. I added a K&N filter which seems to help a bit and added a front strut bar which helped handling. Have just added high output lower headlights and high beams. Next will be blue fogs and so on. The exhaust sounds pretty good for stock but my 03 V6 had custom exhaust which really helped the output.

I will look forward to checking out the exhaust when you get it on. Please list prices and so on if you get a chance.
