Brake dummy light

I have a 2005 Tibby SE.

I bought it new July 2006 (leftover stock).

I noticed that the brake light on the dash started coming on when I was driving and the brake was clearly NOT on. It would go off when i shifted, then reappear when the rpms increased. At first I thought it was acting as a shift light and was adjusting to my driving habits, but now it stays on 95% of the time.

Anyone else encounter this?

Also, what's a few sites to check for body kits?

RE: Brake dummy light

check your hand brake if its loose and also your brake pedal, try lifting it up ( its not suppose to lift up ) if it does that might be the problem and if this dont help you should have warranty on a 2005 take it to the dealer and for body kits ebay is the place

RE: Brake dummy light

The brake light indicates two things: Parking Brake On, and Brake Fluid Level Low. If you haven't checked your fluid level yet, do it SOON because you may be on the verge of losing braking! Also, take it to the dealer ASAP; if you've lost enough fluid to light the light, there is likely a leak in the system and something needs to be replaced under warranty.
