I've been trying to figure out how to get to the turn signal bulbs on my son's 2000 TIburon...the lenses are actually loose.

The online workshop manual for 2000 is wrong..it shows removing a screw.but there are no screws on this lens The 2001 manual looks correct..but it just says "remove turn signal lens assembly" to get to the screws for the headlight. It shows a screwdriver looks like prying the lens assembly out

Is that how you get the turn signal lenses out? Just pry on them? Am afraid to try that without confirmation but i can't see how else they are removed..

and why are they loose? anyone else have this problem?

look straight down over the indicator and headlamp and you will see a single philips head screw undo it and using a large flat head screw driver behind the indicator lamp and pop it out (leaver it out with a quick movement )towards the front.

 

thanks..turns out the P.O. had broken the pins that slide into the headlamp assembly..i guess in a previous attempt to get the lens out..anyway the top tab was broken on one of them so I got out the good old' J-B Weld to fix it
