Hi I replaced my battery and after installed left something on that used a lot of power and car died again. I jumped the battery and now the car will not stay running after I start it. The first time I start it after a while it starts and runs rough then about 10 seconds it surges and dies. Then when I tried to start again it starts and dies immediately after. I love my car only had it for about two months but it's a blast to drive and I'm really scared that I messed things up jumping it. It has 136000 miles and not sure what has been done to the car. Any help would be great. Thanks

 

There are diodes in the alternator. When you jump start an engine there is a possibility to burn them out. I'd remove the alternator and battery and take them to a parts store for testing. Most of them do that for free.
