Default Need a good mechanic in Ann Arbor, MI

Just took our 2004 Tiburon (GT) up to our child at U of Michigan. It is in good working condition and now close to 60,000 miles. I would like to have it serviced before the beginning of school. Does anyone know of a good mechanic that happens to have worked on a Hyundai before. All that we could find was a dealership and they wanted around $1,400 for that maintenance...that seems high for a car in good working condition. The car has new brakes and new tires so what do we need to have done so that we are ready for the next semester without any problems?

$1,400 is about double what the 60K service should be. It should be around $700 to $800. Find another dealer in the area. There must be more than one.

Thanks for your input ... I was hoping to find an auto shop in Ann Arbor or the surrounding area, but I certainly thank you for your guidance in the cost. I did locate 2 other dealers in the surrouding areas so will contact them about the 60,000 maintenance.
