Default newer engine swap into older tiburon

what's up guys, i'm new to the whole hyundai scene and i was wondering what would be needed, if possible, to swap in the newer tiburon engine and tranny into a 99-02 tiburon??? thanx guys

Thats a tough one. Do you want to put a new 4 in place of the old one, or do you want to try and squeeze in the V6?

It would be possible. You would have to aquire a V6 from a GT model which might be pretty difficult to do. If you manage to do this, there is alot of work involved. You would need the ECU, Tranny, and you would need to get the V6 motor mounts as well. On top of all of this , you will also need to get the wiring diagram and though I am not entirely sure, maybe a radiator and other cooling components. All-in-all, it would probably be cheaper and much easier to rebuild your existing block , throw in some high comp pistons, and buy a turbo kit. Your power would be pretty wicked and in would be much less of a hastle.
