Reverse Light Switch
I noticed on my 2007 Tiburon SE that my backup lights weren't coming on anymore. I checked the bulbs, and the bulbs are fine, checked the fuse, and the fuse is fine. I suspect its the Reverse light switch may have become defective. The dealership wants $110 to fix a $30 part. So Im gonna try to fix it myself. Does anyone know the exact location of the switch and how I can get to it? Pictures if Possible Please. Thank You

Manual trans ??
2 wire plug on the switch directly on top of the trans case.. Just open hood and look. Turn key to on position, remove connector, and jump the 2 terminals together while assistant watch the lamps for illumination.. Just need a big deep socket, so take the new switch to Sears or LOWES and find socket that will accept the switch.. go home and change the switch. |
6 speed manual Tranny.
So the switch is actually in the engine compartment? Some people have been telling me its under the center console, others say its underneath the transmission itself. |
Read post #2 above slowly... I'm an expert,,, but don't tell anybody.. ;)
