Reverse Light Switch
 

I noticed on my 2007 Tiburon SE that my backup lights weren't coming on anymore. I checked the bulbs, and the bulbs are fine, checked the fuse, and the fuse is fine. I suspect its the Reverse light switch may have become defective. The dealership wants $110 to fix a $30 part. So Im gonna try to fix it myself. Does anyone know the exact location of the switch and how I can get to it? Pictures if Possible Please. Thank You

Manual trans ??

2 wire plug on the switch directly on top of the trans case.. Just open hood and look.

Turn key to on position, remove connector, and jump the 2 terminals together while assistant watch the lamps for illumination..

Just need a big deep socket, so take the new switch to Sears or LOWES and find socket that will accept the switch.. go home and change the switch.

6 speed manual Tranny.

So the switch is actually in the engine compartment? Some people have been telling me its under the center console, others say its underneath the transmission itself.

Read post #2 above slowly... I'm an expert,,, but don't tell anybody.. ;)
