Rims
Now this is something i've been wondering for a while. I see a lot of people putting these black steel rims. Why? its like they are taking thier spare tire rim and putting a decent tire on it. Are these rims lighter or something and simply the cheapest way to go?

RE: Rims
i have a re-accuring brain fart problem, lol, i just realized after i looked at the guys car at my apt. complex, they are the stock steel rim that have hub caps on them and i'm assuming they just dont' like hub caps. lol

RE: Rims
I know what you mean though. I see a lot of cars(only in the winter time) that take off there hubcaps so that its just there black steel wheels. maybe they want black rims and cant afford them? lol

RE: Rims
I know in areas where we get alot of snow, people buy snow tires and get the cheap steel rims to put them on for the winter, then swap them out for summer tires on aluminum or stock rims for the winter. This saves on wear and tear on aluminum rims from changing tires which I heard was bad...... just my 2 cents I live in Minnesota so I have spendy snow tires on my stock Tib rims, and summer tires on aftermarket rims so I can switch then out myself which is cheaper in the long run
